Page 3 of 6 As this extension occurs, the entire body continues its forward motion, propelled by the right leg. While the body moves forward, the right hand, pushing down and forward, slides down the handle until, at a point illustrated by Fig.4, the forces applied to the hammer handle should change gears. This last 1/3 to 1/4 of the stroke is where the swing is either made or mediocratized.
