The Zimmerrose
Written by Tim Underwood

At the 1994 ABANA Conference in St. Louis, MO, a father and son team from Germany (the Zimmers) performed what could only be called a sledge hammer dance. Together, they took a single bar of steel and forged it into an incredible steel rose. Watching them work was pure poetry in motion. Unfortunately I do not remember their full names.

"Zimmerrose.pdf " (Approx. 37 Kb) is an accounting of this incredible demonstration as written down by Tim Underwood and Illustrated by the unmatchable Jerry Hoffman . It orginally appeared in the BAM newsletter (the Blacksmiths Association of Missouri) and was later reprinted in the UMBA Journal, Volume 16, Issue 6, November-December 1994.

After years of trying to get a "round toit" - the Elektric Anvil has been re-integrated into the Celtic Knot. I have closed "ElektricAnvil.net" and am now working on adding new material to the knot.  Come back soon to see what's new at the Celtic Knot.
