Page 3 of 5  All these bugs are trying to crawl up the tree to emerge. For me, mowing the long felt like walking through a cloud of giant gnats. The cicadas don't bite, don't fly very well, and are pretty slow. That doesn't make them any less creepy or annoying when the little red-eyed buggers are EVERYWHERE.
