That's It!

Joe, hard at work!
There are as many "primitive" forge styles as there are folks using them.  This was my approach and it has worked out quite well.  The forge gets used a few times a year and has handily burned coal and charcoal.  The largest stock I have heated in this forge has been 1/4" x 1 1/4" flat stock and 1/2" square stock.  Both were brought to heat quickly and I have been able to jump weld 3/8" stock.  Remember, I built this forge for a few shows a year, so it was never intended for heavy use.  What it does, it does very well, and after nearly ten years of use I have yet to set the thing on fire.  Don't ask me if that is due to luck or design, because your guess is as good as mine.

After years of trying to get a "round toit" - the Elektric Anvil has been re-integrated into the Celtic Knot. I have closed "ElektricAnvil.net" and am now working on adding new material to the knot.  Come back soon to see what's new at the Celtic Knot.
