Forging An S-Hook

     Use a wrench to grab the end opposite the vise and twist. An old monkey wrench or crescent wrench will work very well for this purpose.
NOTE: The wrench in the photo has had a second handle welded onto the top of it. This makes it easier to twist the bar because you can apply force very evenly and keep the horizontal run of the bar centered throughout the operation.
