Lighting a Coal Forge

Gently stack the coke (left over from a previous fire) around the glowing coals. A pair of tongs would probably be useful for this step. Place the coke around and over the charcoal briquettes and provide a gentle blast of air to the fire. Wait for the coke to light and add more fuel as seems appropriate.
If you are lighting a completely "green" fire, stack nuggets of green coal around the charcoal briquettes. Add a gentle blast and stand back, as they should light very quickly and produce huge clouds of greenish-yellow smoke.

After years of trying to get a "round toit" - the Elektric Anvil has been re-integrated into the Celtic Knot. I have closed "ElektricAnvil.net" and am now working on adding new material to the knot.  Come back soon to see what's new at the Celtic Knot.
