            At this point I was figuring that this electrode was a very low carbon high nickel alloy because of the super high red-hardness and very low oxidation, but so impressed was I with its performance, that I had to look into it a bit further.  A quick call to U.S. FORGE yielded the following perplexing information:

 MOLYBEDENUM 0.03%
 MANGANESE 0.03%
 PHOSPHOROUS 0.029%

 NICKEL 0.022%
 IRON REMAINING CONTENT

 RC HARDNESS WITHOUT HEAT TREATMENT 56-60

USE AC, OR DC REVERSE POLARITY
