The Elektric Anvil

Safety - Caution - Prudence - Common Sense

Back in the early 1990's I registered this domain name, celticknot.com. It was originally a personal website that migrated into a business based site where I promoted and sold my metal craft. As my business grew, I decided I needed to move the information on metalsmithing into it's own section, the Elektric Anvil, and then later into it's own domain, ElektricAnvil.net. Now, over ten years later I am coming full circle and celticknot.com is once again a personal website with plenty of room for my hobbies and various expressions of enthusiasm. As a result, I moved the content from ElektricAnvil.net back into this website and am lumping it all into this section, aptly entitled, "The Elektric Anvil".

This material comes from a wide variety of sources. Some of it are collections of mailing list postings gleaned primarily from ABANA's "TheForge" mailing list. Threads of discussion have been pieced together from hundreds of postings and organized into a single document (according to topic). Some of the material is gleaned from blacksmthing related newsletters, conferences and some is even from my own experiences from fifteen years of metal work. Before using any of this material, please read the disclaimer and copyright information.

If you find an error or would like to make an addition to the contents, please contact the webmaster via the "contact form" - the link appears at the top of each page.

My thanks and gratitude to the many talented and knowledgeable individuals who have so freely shared this information with the world through the medium of the Internet. Contributors to the forums of "TheForge", "ArtMetal" or similar mailing lists, insure that the metal working crafts, skills and forms of artistic expression will live on into the 21st century.

The Celtic Knot

After years of trying to get a "round toit" - the Elektric Anvil has been re-integrated into the Celtic Knot. I have closed "ElektricAnvil.net" and am now working on adding new material to the knot.  Come back soon to see what's new at the Celtic Knot.
